In-ground spas attached to pools with waterfalls or fiberglass tubs in the ground or in decks are unique. They use same pumps, and filters systems as large pools.

They are considered spas because of the low flow created by 1-2 HP pool pumps used for jets compared to a free standing hot tub with 2-6 Hp pumps.

Leaks at equipment above ground are more accessible and easier to repair. They can be easy to diagnose but difficult and sometimes impossible to repair without the removal of tub
